ROLAVIScan is a professional geospatial field application developed by ROLAVI GNSS SAC for GNSS RTK surveying, Bluetooth GNSS workflows, project management, raw GNSS logging, LiDAR scanning, AR stakeout, AR survey measurement, photogrammetry, 2D geospatial layers and field mapping workflows.

This Privacy Policy explains how ROLAVIScan accesses, uses and protects user and device data.

1. Information accessed by the app

ROLAVIScan may access the following data and device features only when required for the app’s professional field functions:

• Camera and LiDAR: used for AR visualization, LiDAR scanning, photogrammetry capture, field images and 3D reconstruction workflows.
• Location and GNSS data: used to obtain coordinates, altitude, RTK positions, surveying points, stakeout data, georeferencing information and geospatial project data.
• Bluetooth: used to connect external ROLAVI GNSS receivers such as ROLAVI RL-HL01 and ROLAVI RL-HL02, and to receive NMEA, RTK and raw GNSS data.
• Motion and device sensors: used for AR tracking, orientation, tilt-related tools and field measurement workflows.
• Photos, files and project documents: used to save, read, manage, import or export photos, point clouds, GNSS raw files, survey files, photogrammetry outputs and geospatial project files created or selected by the user.
• Network and internet access: used for functions such as online maps, WMS layers, NTRIP corrections, TCP GNSS connections, StoreKit subscriptions and other connectivity features configured or initiated by the user.
• In-App Purchase information: used by Apple StoreKit to manage subscriptions, purchases, offer codes and restore purchase status.

2. How information is used

ROLAVIScan uses data only for professional geospatial and field workflows, including:

• GNSS RTK positioning.
• Bluetooth GNSS receiver connection.
• Surveying and stakeout.
• GNSS dashboard, skyplot and signal bar visualization.
• Raw GNSS data logging.
• Grid Shift, geoid and coordinate tools.
• Import and visualization of 2D geospatial layers such as DXF, KML, KMZ, SHP ZIP and WMS.
• LiDAR scanning and point cloud workflows.
• AR stakeout and AR survey measurement.
• ROLAVIAR model visualization and georeferenced AR workflows.
• Photogrammetry processing and project organization.
• Export of survey, point cloud, photo and geospatial files.

3. Data storage

ROLAVIScan stores project data locally on the user’s device unless the user chooses to export, share or transmit that information.

Locally stored project data may include:

• Survey points and CSV files.
• Imported DXF, KML, KMZ, SHP ZIP and WMS project settings.
• Photos and geotagged images.
• LiDAR scans and point clouds.
• Photogrammetry input and output files.
• Raw GNSS files such as .ubx and .log.
• Project metadata and exported files.

ROLAVI GNSS SAC does not operate a cloud service for automatically storing user project data from ROLAVIScan.

4. Data sharing

ROLAVI GNSS SAC does not sell user data.

ROLAVIScan does not automatically share user project data with ROLAVI GNSS SAC.

However, some functions may involve data transmission when enabled, configured or initiated by the user, for example:

• NTRIP correction services may require sending GNSS position information, such as NMEA GGA messages, to a correction server selected or configured by the user.
• TCP GNSS connections may send or receive GNSS data with receiver endpoints configured by the user.
• WMS and online map services may require internet access to display map or geospatial layer data.
• Apple StoreKit processes In-App Purchases, subscriptions, offer codes and purchase restoration.
• Files may be shared manually only when the user exports, shares or sends them through iOS sharing tools.

Third-party services selected or configured by the user, such as NTRIP casters, WMS servers, map providers or file sharing destinations, may process data according to their own privacy policies.

5. Permissions

ROLAVIScan requests permissions only to enable its main features:

• Camera permission for AR, LiDAR, photogrammetry and image capture workflows.
• Location permission for GNSS positioning, surveying, stakeout and georeferencing.
• Bluetooth permission for external GNSS receiver connection.
• Motion permission for AR tracking, orientation and tilt-related tools.
• Photos or file access for project files, images, point clouds, photogrammetry data and exports.
• Network access for maps, WMS, NTRIP, TCP, StoreKit and online services configured or initiated by the user.

6. In-App Purchases and subscriptions

ROLAVIScan offers optional professional features through Apple In-App Purchases and subscriptions.

Paid digital features may include:

• TCP GNSS Pro.
• AR Pro.
• AR stakeout.
• AR survey measurement.
• ROLAVIAR model workflows.
• Photogrammetry workflows.

All purchases, subscriptions, offer codes and payment processing are handled by Apple through StoreKit. ROLAVI GNSS SAC does not directly collect payment card information through ROLAVIScan.

7. Children’s privacy

ROLAVIScan is intended for professional, technical and field users. It is not directed to children under 13 years of age.

8. Data retention

Data created inside ROLAVIScan remains on the user’s device until the user deletes it, removes the app, exports it, shares it or stores it in another location.

ROLAVI GNSS SAC does not retain user project files on its servers because ROLAVIScan does not automatically upload project data to ROLAVI servers.

9. Security

ROLAVIScan is designed to keep project data under the user’s control on the device.

Users are responsible for protecting exported files and for reviewing the privacy practices of any external services they choose to connect to, including NTRIP casters, WMS servers, TCP endpoints, cloud drives or sharing destinations.

10. Changes to this Privacy Policy

ROLAVI GNSS SAC may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
