ROLAVIScan Privacy Policy

ROLAVI respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the ROLAVIScan application processes information when you use its LiDAR scanning, GNSS, Surveying, Augmented Reality, Photogrammetry, Bluetooth, TCP NMEA, NTRIP, and subscription features.

1. Information Processed by ROLAVIScan

Depending on the features you use, ROLAVIScan may process the following information:

Camera images and photographs
LiDAR and ARKit data, including meshes, depth information, and point clouds
GNSS information, including:
- Latitude and longitude
- Ellipsoidal height
- Fix quality
- Satellite information
- Accuracy estimates
Bluetooth information, including device names, identifiers, and data received from compatible GNSS receivers
TCP NMEA information, including server addresses and data received from servers selected by the user
NTRIP configuration and RTCM correction data
Project information, including:
- Point clouds
- Meshes
- Photographs
- Surveying records
- GNSS logs
- USDZ models
- Exported files
App Store subscription and entitlement status supplied by Apple through StoreKit

2. How the Information Is Used

ROLAVIScan uses this information to:

Create LiDAR scans, meshes, and point clouds
Georeference scans and Surveying observations
Generate photogrammetry models
Display georeferenced Augmented Reality content
Connect to supported Bluetooth GNSS receivers
Connect to TCP NMEA and NTRIP services selected by the user
Save, preview, process, and export project files
Verify access to purchased subscription features

3. Storage of Project Information

ROLAVIScan is designed to store scan projects and exported files locally on the user’s device.

These files remain on the device until the user:

Deletes an individual file
Deletes the project
Deletes the ROLAVIScan application

ROLAVI does not automatically receive copies of LiDAR scans, photographs, GNSS logs, Surveying records, or exported project files.

Information leaves the device only when the user:

Deliberately shares or exports a file
Connects the application to an external service
Uses a third-party Bluetooth, TCP, or NTRIP provider

4. External GNSS, TCP, and NTRIP Services

When the user connects ROLAVIScan to a Bluetooth receiver, TCP NMEA server, or NTRIP caster, data may be exchanged with the selected device or service.

Some NTRIP services require ROLAVIScan to transmit a GGA position message containing the rover’s current GNSS position.

The external provider’s own privacy policy and terms may apply to information transmitted to that provider.

ROLAVI is not responsible for the privacy practices of third-party GNSS, TCP, or NTRIP providers selected by the user.

5. Camera, LiDAR, Bluetooth, and Location Permissions

ROLAVIScan may request access to the following device features:

Camera and LiDAR

Used to:

Create LiDAR scans
Generate point clouds and meshes
Capture photographs
Build photogrammetry models
Support Augmented Reality workflows

GNSS and Location Information

Used for:

Georeferencing
Surveying
Stakeout
Augmented Reality
Photogrammetry and scan positioning

ROLAVIScan does not use location information for advertising.

Bluetooth

Used to communicate with supported GNSS receivers.

6. Subscriptions and Payments

Purchases and subscriptions are processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit.

ROLAVI does not receive or store the user’s full payment card information.

ROLAVIScan receives only the subscription and transaction information necessary to determine whether the following access is active:

GNSS Pro
AR & Photogrammetry Pro

Apple’s privacy policy applies to purchases processed by Apple.

ROLAVI does not sell personal information.

ROLAVIScan may share information only when:

The user deliberately exports or shares a file
The user connects to a third-party Bluetooth, TCP, or NTRIP service
Disclosure is required by applicable law

8. Data Retention and Deletion

Locally stored projects remain on the device until deleted by the user.

Users may delete:

Individual files
Complete projects
The ROLAVIScan application

Deleting the application may remove locally stored application data.

Files previously exported to another location must be deleted separately by the user.

Subscription transaction records are retained by Apple according to Apple’s policies.

9. Children’s Privacy

ROLAVIScan is a professional application for:

LiDAR scanning
Surveying
GNSS workflows
Augmented Reality
Photogrammetry

ROLAVIScan is not directed to children.

10. Security

ROLAVI uses reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed by the application.

However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated when:

ROLAVIScan features change
Legal requirements change
Data processing practices change

The Effective Date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
